The Canungra township boasts the Hang-gliding Club of South East Queensland. Within short drives there are three excellent launching sites. Both tandem flights and licence courses are available from well qualified instructors.

Para-Gliding can be experienced at the Para-gliding centre of South East Queensland, just a short drive away. Take to the sky with a fully certified tandem instructor. Courses range from a two-day introductory lesson to a seven day licence course.

Leisure Activities.
Visitors are welcome at the Bowls Club and also the Golf Club at the near-by Kokoda Barracks. Tamborine Mountain Golf Club is only a short drive away and features spectacular views.
Horse riding is available in the area with short and full day rides on offer. Riders may explore the beautiful Biddaddabba valley, Canungra valley or even to the edge of Lamington plateau. Scenic drives abound with choices of valley routes and steeper, mountain roads. Numerous National Parks featuring ancient rainforests are an easy drive away. O'Reillys famous tree-tops suspension walk is world class.
